Privacy Policy

    Effective Date:24/07/26

    Last Updated:24/07/26

    1. Introduction

Welcome to [Your Business Name] ("we," "our," or "us"). We operate the Fibre Tally tool, accessible via our website and embedded within our mobile app (collectively, the "Services").

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Services.

    2. Information We Collect

    A. Information You Provide Directly

Goal-Setting Form: If you choose to get a personalised fibre target, we collect your name, email address, age, sex, and your selected nutrition goal (e.g. digestive health, weight management). This is entirely optional — you can use the food search and tally features without providing any of this information.

Food Searches: The food names you search for are sent to third-party food databases (see Section 5) to return nutrition information. We do not attach your identity to these searches.

Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for support.

    B. Information Collected Automatically

Usage & Device Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and general technical information necessary to serve the Services and detect abuse (e.g. excessive automated requests).

We do not currently use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising identifiers on this tool.

    C. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account or password to use the Services. We do not currently store your daily food tally or fibre totals beyond your current browser session — this data is not saved on our servers and is cleared when you close or refresh the page. We do not sync with Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, or any other health platform.

    3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

    • To calculate a personalised daily fibre target based on the details you provide in the goal-setting form
    • To follow up with you by email regarding your nutrition goals, including sending relevant tips, offers, or information about our services
    • To operate, maintain, and improve the Services
    • To detect and prevent misuse of the Services (e.g. automated abuse of our search functionality)
    • To comply with legal obligations

Note on health-related information: The nutrition goal you select (e.g. "digestive health," "blood sugar balance") is used only to tailor the fibre target and any follow-up communication we send you. We do not sell or rent this information to third-party advertisers.

    4. Data Storage and Security

Information submitted through the goal-setting form is transmitted to and stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, hosted by GoHighLevel, for the purposes described in Section 3.

We implement reasonable technical measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) — to protect the information you provide. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your API key used to query food databases is stored server-side and is never exposed in the app or website code.

    5. Third-Party Services

We share the minimum necessary information with the following third parties to operate the Services:

USDA FoodData Central: When you search for a food, your search term is sent to the United States Department of Agriculture's public FoodData Central database to retrieve nutrition information. This request is routed through our own server infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers) and does not include your name, email, or any personal identifiers — only the search term itself. USDA FoodData Central data is in the public domain.

Open Food Facts: Food searches are also sent directly from your device to Open Food Facts, an open, crowd-sourced food database, to retrieve additional product information not covered by USDA's database. This is subject to Open Food Facts' own privacy practices, available at openfoodfacts.org.

Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare's Workers platform to securely process food database requests without exposing our API credentials.

GoHighLevel: If you submit the goal-setting form, your details are stored and processed within our GoHighLevel CRM for the purposes described in Section 3.

    6. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for commercial gain.

    7. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location (including under the Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR, or CCPA where applicable), you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

    • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
    • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
    • Deletion: Request that we delete your information from our CRM, including unsubscribing from any email communications

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.

    8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. The goal-setting form requires users to confirm they are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

    9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date above.
