One of the most common questions I get asked before someone books a session is simply: what does it cost? It's a fair question, and one that deserves a straight answer rather than a sales pitch.
What affects the price
Nutrition coaching pricing in Melbourne varies quite a bit depending on:
- Who you're seeing. Dietitians (who can sometimes claim a Medicare rebate with a GP referral for eligible conditions), naturopaths, and independent nutrition coaches all price differently.
- Session length. A quick 30 minute check-in costs less than a full 60 minute deep-dive session.
- What's included. Some coaches charge for the session only. Others, myself included, include a written, personalised plan you take home, not just verbal advice you have to remember.
- Ongoing support. One-off sessions versus multi-session packages with check-ins will naturally differ in total cost.
What I charge, and why
My 60 minute Nutrition Session is $200. That covers a genuine look at what's going on with your eating patterns, lifestyle, and goals, plus a written plan you leave with, so you're not trying to remember everything from memory on the drive home.
I've kept it as a clear, single session rather than locking people into long packages upfront. If you want ongoing support after that first session, we can talk about what that looks like, but there's no pressure to commit to months of coaching before you've even had a conversation with me.
Is it worth the investment?
This is the real question behind "how much does it cost." A useful way to think about it: how many diets, supplements, apps, or programs have you already paid for that didn't work? Personalised nutrition coaching tends to be more cost-effective in the long run precisely because it's built around what will actually work for you, rather than a generic plan you're likely to abandon.
That said, coaching isn't a magic fix, and I won't pretend it is. It works because of the plan we build together and the changes you're willing to make. What you're really paying for is expertise, accountability, and a plan that fits your actual life, not a one-size-fits-all download.
What's included in my $200 session
- A full 60 minute one-on-one consultation
- A real look at your current eating patterns, energy, and goals
- A written, personalised plan to take home
- Guidance from a qualified Nutrition Coach and Health Promotion graduate
